Laddu Pethi Recipe:

Laddu Pethi recipe with illustrations of each step. It is a well-known Pakistani street cuisine from Lahore. These are essentially fried vadas or pakoras cooked with a batter of moong dal and channa dal. They are referred to as Laddu Pethi, though.

Serves: 6

Ingredients:

Gram lentin ( daal chana) ……… 2 cup

Baking soda ….. 1 Pinch 

Salt …….. according to need

 Oil …….. for frying 

Sweet and sour chutney …….. according to need 

Tamarind pulp ……. 2 cups

Sugar  ……….. 4 tbsp

Other

Khubani ki chutney ……. For serving 

Yogurt/mint  ………… yogurt for serving 

Radish (grated) ……… 1 for serving 

Recipe Instructions:

Soak gram lentil in 4 cups water for 6-8 hours.

Strain out water and blend completely in a fine normal thick paste by adding water.

Include baking soda and salt and beat again with a beater to add air in the mixture.

Leave it for a half-hour in hot place.

Heat up oil in a wok, with a big spoon add the mixture in oil.

Fry Laddo on the slow flame from both sides until golden brown.

For Chutney: Add tamarind pulp, sugar, and salt in a pan and cook for 5 minutes. Let cool it.

How to serve:
